Enter Isaac, he sits down under an apple tree and starts writing in his note-book
Isaac
(He mumbles to himself as he writes. An apple drops from the tree and hits him on the head.)
Isaac
Ow! What was that? (He picks up the apple) Interesting... this apple fell from the tree, but why did it fall down instead of up?
Enter two farmers
Farmer 1
Is he talking to an apple?
Farmer 2
Looks like he is
Farmer 1
Maybe we should just quickly and quietly walk past.
Newton
How rude. Don't they recognise a genius at work when they see one?
Isaac spots the farmers
Isaac
Hi.
Farmer 2
Er. Hi.
Farmer 1
Yeah, hi. (They start walking quickly away).
Isaac
Wait! I've got it!
Farmer 2
(Whispers to Farmer 1) Whatever he's got, I don't want!
Isaac
The force that made this apple fall down must be the same force that keeps the planets in orbit around the sun.
Farmer 1
(Sounding sceptical) Sure.
Farmer 2
Right.
